About Me
Hi! I'm Maddie,
Hi! I'm Maddie,
I'm a digital product designer based in New Orleans, Louisiana. I have a degree in Digital Advertising from LSU's Manship School of Mass Communication, where I learned to think like a storyteller and understand how messaging works psychologically: how it shapes perception, influences behavior, and drives action.
That foundation led me toward product design, where storytelling isn't just about words but about structure, flow, and how people experience what you've built. I'm drawn to the intersection of narrative, systems, and behavior. I don't design within a single aesthetic. I adapt, evolve, and let the problem guide the visual language. This site reflects how I think as a designer and the direction I'm continuing to explore.
Skill List
UI / UX Design
Designing intuitive digital experiences through research, prototyping, and user-centered interface design

A Deeper Look

A Deeper Look
I’ve always been fascinated by how things are made. Long before design became a discipline for me, I was drawn to production in all its forms: publishing, set design, film, music, and eventually digital spaces. I liked watching ideas move from concept to reality. Any format of a creative process always fascinated me.

For a long time, I had many interests and no single container for them. What I eventually realized was that they all shared the same instinct: building systems, shaping experiences, and understanding how people interact with what’s been created. Digital product design gave those interests a place to live.

Before my twenties, I had visited 22 different countries. Growing up exposed to different cultures, environments, and history so young shaped how I observe the world and how I communicate within it. It taught me to pay attention to context, nuance, and the unspoken parts of connection.

That background is one of the reasons communication and storytelling matters so much to me. With a minor in communications and a deep interest in how digital spaces are changing the way we interact, I care about what we build, how it’s understood and experienced by different people. That curiosity naturally extended into digital platforms and into studying algorithms and AI. I’m less interested in the hype and more interested in how these systems operate, influence behavior, and shape modern communication.

HOW I WANT TO GROW
HOW I WANT TO GROW
HOW I WANT TO GROW
I want to continue growing as an innovator who doesn't stay in one medium or format. One area I'm particularly interested in exploring is 3D modeling and spatial design. I've always been a fan of video games, and UI/UX design plays a huge role in gaming experiences. Learning how to design in dimensions, not just on flat screens, feels like a natural next step for me.

I'm also drawn to video editing and sound design. I recently picked up a MIDI controller and have been playing around with audio. I think sound cues will become increasingly important as technology advances, especially in how we design interactions and experiences. Understanding how motion, pacing, and audio work together is something I want to develop further. Over the years, I've learned to navigate different design programs, and that's made me adaptable. I have a genuine thirst for learning new tools and systems, and I want to keep channeling that curiosity into expanding what I'm capable of creating. I don't want to limit myself to one lane. I want to keep evolving and finding new ways to communicate and build innovated experiences for everyone.
